Proud to Support the Cure JM Foundation! 💙🏓

The JSL Technologies, Inc. team was honored to support the recent Cure JM #LivLifeStrong Pickleball Tournament held at Bob Kildee Community Park in Camarillo, CA!

It was an incredible, high-energy day of competition—including the fantastic Play STRONG CURE JM™ Women’s Doubles—all rallying behind a vital cause: raising funds and awareness for Juvenile Myositis (JM) research.

This event hits close to home in our local community as we honor the resilience of fighters like Livy, who was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM) at just 5 years old. Today, thanks to groundbreaking medical research, 14-year-old Livy is thriving, playing sports, and inspiring everyone around her. But the fight isn’t over, and the search for a cure continues.

At JSL, we believe in lifting up our community and investing in life-changing research. We are incredibly proud to have contributed a corporate donation to help the Cure JM Foundation advance new treatments and support these brave children and their families.

Thank you to the event organizers, players, and volunteers who made this fundraiser such a massive success. Together, we are making a difference!

  • JSL Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

JSL Technologies Inc. announced today that it has successfully earned a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 certification. This involved a certified third party determining that JSL correctly implements security controls and meets all 110 security requirements and 320 assessment objectives. Sentar, Inc was the 3rd party certifying organization.

CMMC is a major Department of Defense (DoD) program built to protect the defense industrial base from increasingly frequent and complex cyber-attacks. It particularly aims to enhance the protection of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and federal contract information.

It is built on a framework that combines various cybersecurity standards and best practices to safeguard sensitive information to enable and protect the warfighter; dynamically enhance DIB cybersecurity to meet evolving threats; ensure accountability while minimizing barriers to compliance with DoD requirements; contribute towards instilling a collaborative culture of cybersecurity and cyber resilience; and maintain public trust through high professional and ethical standards.

CMMC Level 2 is an advanced certification for handling CUI. It goes beyond basic good cyber hygiene practices, requiring companies to provide proper access control, incident response, risk management and system and communications protection. For companies on contracts involving CUI, compliance must be verified by an outside audit every three years as well as an annual executive affirmation of ongoing compliance.

“This is a major milestone that showcases our unwavering commitment to robust cybersecurity and safeguarding of sensitive data,” Director of IT Tony Belvedere “This certification doesn’t just validate our capabilities, it elevates them. JSL is stronger, more secure and more ready than ever to deliver top-tier, locked-down solutions to our partners and clients.”

The CMMC Level 2 standard includes 22 practices to ensure only authorized users can access CUI. There are also 11 practices required for identification and authentication; nine practices for system auditing, event review and audit log protections; and three practices for operational incident handling, reporting and testing. In addition, there are nine required practices for configuration management as well as required awareness training, media protection, personnel security, physical protection, risk assessment, security assessment, systems and communications protection and integrity.

“A huge thank you to our powerhouse IT team, Tony Belvedere and Greg Groshko,” said Chris Lewis. “Their dedication, hard work and expertise were the driving force behind this achievement.” JSL is a Combat Systems Engineering company founded in 2008 with the commitment of delivering practical, innovative and affordable solutions in support of the U.S. Navy’s surface ships and advanced weapons systems. • JSL’s Quality Management System Recertified by ISO

JSL Technologies Inc. announced today that its corporate quality management system has been recertified as meeting stringent International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines that ensure companies employ robust quality control processes to reduce waste, risk and inefficiencies.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a globally recognized standard for quality management and strong customer focus. ISO says that a certification is awarded to organizations that have robust quality control processes in place, leading to increased customer trust and satisfaction. ISO-compliant quality systems also provide guidelines for resolving customer complaints and problem solving and help identify and eliminate inefficiencies to reduce waste, streamline operations and reduce customer costs. In addition, ISO says, the regular audits involved in maintaining its certifications encourage organizations to continuously refine their quality management systems for long-term success.

“Achieving ISO 9001:2015 recertification is a testament to JSL’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence and our ‘customer-first’ philosophy,” said Tony Belvedere, Quality Assurance Manager. “We initially sought this certification to provide a verifiable framework for the complex engineering and technical support we provide the U.S. Navy. Since adopting these standards, we’ve seen a measurable transformation in our internal systems—from more streamlined communication to a proactive approach in risk mitigation. Our customers have noticed the difference, frequently noting that our rigorous QMS and documented procedures provide them with the level of reliability and transparency required for mission-critical defense projects. We are thrilled to maintain this gold standard, as it reinforces the trust our partners place in us every day.”

JSL first earned the ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2023, adopting and refining numerous policies and processes designed to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues, improve efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction. Tony Belvedere is JSL’s Quality Assurance Manager.

To earn ISO 9001:2015 certification, companies must determine the internal and external factors that affect their quality management system; empower leadership to implement and maintain a quality management system; employ measures designed to achieve quality objectives and continuously improve effectiveness; analyze resources, competence, awareness, communication and documented information; plan, implement and control the processes needed to meet customer requirements and increase customer satisfaction; monitor, measure, analyze and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the quality management system in use; and continuously increase the effectiveness of the quality management system based on performance evaluation or other data.
