CMMC Level 2 (C3PAO) Certified
In 2025, JSL achieved a major corporate milestone by earning a CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) Level Certification from an accredited C3PAO. This certification is a powerful validation of JSL’s commitment to protecting Classified and Unclassified Information (CUI) and upholding the highest standards of cybersecurity across the defense industrial base. By successfully undergoing this rigorous independent assessment, JSL has demonstrated that its internal security protocols and data-handling procedures meet the strict requirements mandated by the Department of Defense. This achievement not only reduces risks to our partners’ supply chains but also solidifies JSL’s position as a secure and reliable prime contractor capable of supporting the Navy’s most sensitive modernization and engineering initiatives in an increasingly complex digital threat landscape.

NIST SP 800-171 Compliant
JSL maintains a long-standing foundation of digital integrity, having been NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2 compliant since December 2017. This early adoption of stringent cybersecurity controls demonstrates our proactive approach to safeguarding the Department of Defense’s sensitive technical data long before such measures became industry mandates. By strictly adhering to the fourteen families of security requirements—ranging from access control and incident response to system and communications protection—we have consistently ensured the confidentiality and reliability of the Classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) entrusted to us. Our decade-long track record of NIST compliance provided the robust framework necessary to achieve our recent CMMC certification, offering our Navy customers and prime partners the peace of mind that JSL’s internal infrastructure is as mission-ready and resilient as the systems we engineer for the Fleet.

ISO 9001:2015 Certified
Since 2020, JSL has an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system –an internationally recognized standard that defines the requirements within a company. With this certification, JSL has continually improved its products, services and processes to consistently meet or exceed customer requirements.

DCAA Approved Accounting System
Since the company’s founding in 2008, JSL has been using government-approved cost accounting systems. We adopted the Deltek Costpoint accounting system in 2019. In 2022, DCAA completed an audit and DCMA again approved JSL’s Deltek financial system. The accounting system was considered acceptable and in operation. JSL follows Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for recording all costs.
