JSL Hires Full-Time Quality Assurance Officer
Oxnard, CA – JSL Technologies, Inc. (JSL) announced today that Stephanie Grijalva has joined the company as its Quality Assurance Officer, responsible for ensuring JSL’s Quality Management System (QMS) complies with industry standards and customer requirements, and for ensuring the products JSL delivers to its customers meet and exceed those customer’s expectations.

As the Quality Assurance Officer, Ms. Grijalva will ensure that JSL’s processes deliver their intended results and that any delivery issues are identified and corrected. She also is responsible for monitoring the QMS’ performance by collecting and analyzing objective and key performance data. She will perform formal QMS Management reviews with JSL leadership and ensure new employees are trained in quality processes, that all nonconformances are documented, data is tracked, suppliers are monitored and Program Quality Control Plans are in place. She also will serve as the company’s representative for QMS Audits.
Ms. Grijalva earned a Master of Science in Management from California Lutheran University and a BA in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology. Before joining JSL, she was the Production Manager for Boone Graphics in Goleta CA, and Training Manager for Force Protection at the Naval Base Ventura County. She has also served as a Nuclear Weapon Security Specialist for the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps Security Force Battalion in Kings Bay, GA.

JSL to Support Aircraft Carrier Maintenance and Modernization
Oxnard, CA – JSL Technologies announced today that it is part of Life Cycle Engineering team selected to support aircraft carrier maintenance and modernization.
Task orders under this five-year contract, awarded by the Commander Naval Air Forces, will provide maintenance and modernization advance planning as well as work package development, integration and execution. Support areas include integrated logistics; naval architecture; mechanical and electronics engineering; design reviews of ship change documents; computer programming and software development; diagnostics; systems analysis; and training.
Randy Gongre, Director of East Coast Operations, will lead the effort for JSL. “This is exciting work and will support our continued expansion on the East Coast,” said JSL CEO and President Joe Black. “I thank Randy for his support in developing JSL’s East Coast capabilities and for supporting the proposal efforts resulting in the contract.”

JSL Technologies Inc. Announces New Division Director
Oxnard, CA – JSL Technologies announced today that Patrick Montford has been promoted to Division Director for the Weapon Systems Division. Mr. Montford joined JSL about a year ago to serve as Program Manager for the company’s prime Integrated Ship Defense contract. He soon was leading business development efforts for multiple west coast projects and now will take over Division 1 and report to President/CEO Joe Black.
“I am excited with Patrick leading the Weapon Systems Division,” Mr. Black said. “He is a well accomplished leader with a solid technical background. I know he will be working hard in achieving the growth in his new division.”
Mr. Montford earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is pursuing a master’s in business administration at Coastline College. He spent eight years on active duty aboard the aircraft carriers USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER and USS JOHN F. KENNEDY.
Before joining JSL, Mr. Montford served as the Senior Program Manager for Valkyrie Enterprises, providing support to the Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department (S Department) and the Littoral and Strike Warfare Department (L&SW Department) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme, as well as in San Diego, CA, Bremerton, WA and Norfolk, VA. He has also supported NSWC Port Hueneme and the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division Point Mugu as a Program Manager for Synectic Solutions.

Harvey Wilson Selected to Lead Missile Range Support
Oxnard, CA – JSL Technologies announced today that Harvey Wilson has joined the company to lead its prime contract providing engineering and technical support services to White Sands Missile Range near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mr. Wilson reports to Chris Lewis, Director of the Engineering Services Division.
Mr. Wilson has more than two decades of experience in managing and executing surface-to-air missile system test and evaluation programs.
White Sands is a detachment of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division responsible for weapons testing and evaluation. It is the largest overland test range in the United States and serves the US Army, Navy and Air Force. JSL provides engineering and technical support to the Desert Ship, a landlocked “vessel” used as a precision, live-fire test bed for various Navy weapons. JSL also supports the range’s Navy gun system test sites, radar test sites, and weapons impact test areas. JSL employees are also key participants in rocket missions that support NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, which measures energy bursts from the sun that can damage communications systems and power grids.
Before joining JSL, Mr. Wilson served as the Quality Assurance Manager and Alternate Program Manager at Technica, LLC for a $500 million maintenance, supply and transportation logistics project with more than 600 employees. While in the US Army, he served as the Assistant Director and Operations Manager playing a major role in restructuring the Army Leadership Academies. He also directed the operations of remotely located ROTC Programs that offered 10 graduate programs and served as Operations Program Manager for 10 PAC-3 Patriot Missile Programs. As the Military Science Course Director at the US Army Military Academy, Mr. Wilson devised and coordinated training for 10,000 cadets and active-duty Army units.
Mr. Wilson has a Bachelor of Science in Administration and Management from Excelsior College. He also is an accredited Program Manager, a certified Professional in Project Management, a certified Master Project Manager, and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
